Development and Growth of the Baby
Development and Growth of the BabyEach baby is an individual with a unique temperament and personality. As an individual his appearance and his behavioral patterns like activity level; response to pain, hunger, or boredom; and sleeping and eating patterns will be unique. You have to take time to understand and get familiar to your child. He is more like a puzzle to you, which you have to solve. The fact that your child is born of you, tends to make you think that he is a part of you. Please understand he is an individual, having a separate and independent existence with his own likes and dislikes. The earlier you adapt to this perception the better you will be equipped to support and nurture him. At one end, you may have to be very patient and understanding with your baby. If you find that he is a combination of intense reactions, irregularity, slow adaptability and a high activity level you will find that he is more difficult to manage. Knowing your baby, understanding him over time will help you to take care of him in a more satisfying way which will be reciprocated by your baby.

Your baby`s nature tends to change little over time, his abilities and size will undergo abrupt transition. Remember that normal development patterns vary widely from one baby to the next. You need not worry, if your baby takes a developmental step later or earlier than someone else`s infant. His developmental pattern is uniquely his own.
