Post structuralists hold that the concept of self as a singular and coherent entity is a fictoral construction. Instead an individual is composed of conflicting tensions and knowledge. The idea of self perception pays a critical role in one`s interpretation of meaning of a text. The meaning of the author is secondary to that of the reader in post structuralism critic must be able to utilize a variety of perspective to create a interpretation of text.
